Rhubarb Pie

Well, my rhubarb called me today, and I answered.  I don't make pies often, because we like them so much.. if you get my drift.  But today, being overly hungry, I went out, cut the rhubarb that grows in my yard and made a pie.  Rhubarb is about the only thing that the deer don't eat, which is good, considering the leaves are poisonous.  Here are photos of said pie.  Ken ate it so fast, I hardly had time to snap a few pics.

I asked him to smile.

Well I'm with you Ken.
One of my fondest childhood memories in Ogden was watching that rhubard grow with anticipation of a wonderful pie or just stewed with 400 #s of sugar.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane. And now to the store because Janie and I's R patch died

Yummy! I have never had Rhubarb pie, but it sure does look enviting! :) Thank goodness for those few things deer, bunnies, squirel, birds, etc won't pluck away from us so we have something left to enjoy!
