I talked to Katie briefly about Activelink. A fairly new device that Weight Watchers offers to its members to monitor all activity. It is really cool and I thought I would show what it looks like along with how it is used with a computer. It has a USB port that plugs into the computer, which is also how the lithium ion battery is charged. The device is waterproof, so can be worn while swimming. The program allows for the wearer to choose the location where it will be worn, your belt, in a pocket or, in my case, on my bra strap. The wearer sets up "challenges" over a 12 week time frame to increase activity and earn more "activity points". Here are some examples. I wear a pedometer also.

That's pretty cool mom! I love technology, and how it has transformed the fitness world. I don't know what I would do without my GPS watch telling me exactly how fast I am running, what my heart rate is, and what my total distance was. We can use all kinds of tools to help motivate and inspire, as well as improve our performace. Good job mom! Keep up the good work!
