Recently, taking a challenge by our Stake to get involved with the new Family Search website, I was astounded to find out that on my mother's side of the family, we have family here before the founding of the country. And a couple of my lines go back to Ireland. That might explain some of my personality traits. I'm kind of full of the "blarney" sometimes. It seems that my 7th great grandparents, were born in Ireland in the late 1600s and died in Pennsylvania in the 1740s. So I guess that I can officially celebrate St. Patty's day!
My dad's side is Norwegian all the way, which may explain my aversion to hot foods. It's a genetic trait it seems. (I can't explain my kids and their love of hot, spicy food). They must get that from their dad's side of the family. Ha
So, Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you all!
