It's been awhile since I've posted something on my blog. Mainly because I'm in the doldrums of late winter and I'm tired of the never ending (seemingly) rainy weather. I'm ready for spring and some COLOR!!
The picture I've put as my header was one I took during the tulip festival in Skagit county a couple of years ago. I believe this particular display was in La Conner, a particularly quaint little town with lots of shops and good restaurants.
Skagit County grows lots of tulips and the communities in that county put on their beautiful flowery displays for the tourists and locals each spring. The dates vary, depending upon (what else) the weather and when the tulips and other flowers start blooming.
Folks come from all over to photograph the tulip fields, along with daffodils.
I can't wait for spring. Hopefully it isn't too far away.

That is a beautiful picture! Daffodils are up all over town here. I started noticing them this week. I look forward to the tulips showing off their beauty as well. We have been in the 80's everyday this week and looks like for the next 3 days as well.
I am hoping this means spring is here!

Lucky you. Go out and smell the flowers and soak up some sun for me. We won't have sun till the middle of July probably!
