I've set a goal to get in better shape. I'm in the 4th week of a Couch to 5K program that is an app that I downloaded onto my iPad. So I ran and walked for 34 minutes on the treadmill, then did a 45 minute workout with weights. This afternoon I drove over to a running store in Mill Creek and bought a couple of pairs of socks for running and ordered a pair of running shoes after being evaluated by the helpful young man who works there. Of course they don't carry my size. I expect my shoes to arrive around Thursday or Friday of next week. I'll try them out on my treadmill to see if they will work for me. He suggested the Brooks brand for me. After stopping for a Jumba Juice I came home and rode my new "Trek" bike for almost 3 1/5 miles down my street and back. Now I'm going to reward myself with an evening of free-motion quilting on a quilt that has taken way too long to finish.

Way to go mom! I am glad you went to a running store to get fit evaluated instead of a "big box store" and given bad advice! Katie just got some Brooks shoes for her new pair and she loves them!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Brian!
