I'm Back

I got back very late on Friday the 10th of August.  By the time we went to bed it was 2:00 am (5:00 am East Coast time).  Becky is well on her way to recovery and I'm glad to be home.  The weather is beautiful here with temps is the 70s and low 80s.  It was SO hot in SC, with temps in the 90s every day.  I thought I was going to melt.  Blessed air conditioning!  I didn't go out very much.  I did walk in the mornings, but the humidity was a killer too.

Anyway, when I get organized I'll post some pictures.  Becky has fallen in love with quilting and it was fun sharing my hobby with her.

It was great being with her family and especially getting to know my grandchildren better.  Ethan kept coming back up to me as I was standing in line at the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport to check in and giving me long hugs.  It was sweet.  He and Owen had come in to use the bathroom (it is a small airport) and Owen got back to the car before Ethan.  I went out again and gave gum and hugs all around.  No tears though.  Becky and I kept focused on the fun and determined not to blubber at the Airport.  We were successful!

Now to get some things done around here.  Oh--and I signed up on Facebook.  Becky made a comment about seeing a pig fly past her window.  I, too, thought that pigs would fly before I'd sign up on FB.  Never say never. 

People used to say "See you in the funny papers."  Now I'll say, "See you on Facebook."
