I've lamented moving to Washington State many times. However, when the skies are clear, some of the scenery is breathtaking.
This home is the only one built so far in the little development. Across the street is a small lake and a large tree with an Eagles nest. Using binoculars, I was able to see both birds sitting in their nest. My hostess observed that they aren't seen too often sitting there so it was a treat. Since our bad snow storm last week, she has seen them bringing large sticks and doing some repair work on their nest.
I took some photos from her raised deck with my phone camera and I'd like to share them with you.

I wish that my phone camera had a zoom feature so that I could have gotten a close-up picture of the nest.
These pictures don't do justice to the actual view.

That sounds and looks very, very cool! Personally here at home in SLC I follow a very large crow family. Crows are very interesting and smart and a day I've seen them is better every time!
Crows are neat. When I was a kid, some neighbors of my Aunt Mae had a pet crow that played tug of war with a rope that he held in his beak. He was very tame as I recall and all of the neighborhood childre had fun playing with him.
