Pictures of the retention pond

On my way down to get mail, I took along my camera.  One picture is worth a thousand words, the old saying goes, or in this case-several.

This is the aforementioned retention pond.  No sign of the heron, as the neighbor has some lawn people spreading fertilizer on her yard and they are making quite a racket with their machines.  Heron's are easily spooked and so I'm sure he is looking for somewhere quieter to search for food today.
